Serving People In Need provides case management and a wide range of referral services to ten, disabled individuals living in efficiency housing. The individuals living in this program would other wise be homeless. With this program they receive case management, supportive services and a safe environment to live in.
This program offers seventy-seven (77) families emergency shelter in two to three bedroom apartment units, all located in Lynn. Families, who enter the program, are referred to the program by the Department of Transitional Assistance. Each family is assigned to an individual Family Advocate who supports them throughout their stay. Family Advocates offer our families resources, information and support to make the changes necessary to advance their lives from homelessness to independence.
The Housing First Program is an apartment based program that serves up to 10 families. Families receive intensive case management and stabilization services that encourage working toward economic independence and self sufficiency. This program works in conjunction with SPIN’s Scattered Sites Family Emergency Shelter and the Teen Parenting programs and offers our families permanent housing solutions combined with the supportive services.
This program is funded through grants from the United Way Foundation and the Department of Housing and Community Development of Lynn.
